Are you planning to set up an RTO? Amongst all the regulations, finance management and planning a very important part to never underestimate is Standards. Like Standards for RTOs 2015 there is AQF.
The AQF or Australian Quality Framework is not optional for RTOs. All registered training organisations must abide by its framework and adhere to its standards.
Failing to comply can have serious repercussions like:
- Loss of registration
- Financial penalties
- Reputational damage
- Legal action
The VET sector and its regulators have proven to be keen on compliance. Why AQF though? Let us help you.
In the blog you will learn:
- What is AQF?
- Purpose of AQF
- Objectives of AQF
- Benefits of AQF
- Levels of AQF
- What is means for your students?
- Relationship between AQF and national regulator ASQA
We are positive this blog can be used as a starter guide to educate your trainers and staff to help them understand the importance of AQF to avoid future complications.
What are AQF qualifications?
“The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the policy for regulated qualifications in the Australian education and training system. The AQF was first introduced in 1995 to underpin the national system of qualifications in Australia, encompassing higher education, vocational education and training (VET), and schools. The AQF is the agreed policy of Commonwealth, State and Territory ministers, and is administered by the Department of Education.”
